U.S. Coast Guard credentials are issued for five-year terms after
which time they expire. After the expiration date of the license or document,
a one-year grace period is allowed for renewal purposes only. During this time,
the license or document is not valid to work under but may be renewed without
having to take the full U.S. Coast Guard examination.
Martin International will
assist you with completing your U.S. Coast Guard application, and
if needed take passport photographs, obtain the physical
examination and drug test. We will review your documentation
to ensure accuracy and assemble your package for you to take to the
U.S. Coast Guard
Regional Examination Center for fingerprinting and identification
processing. We will then track the status of your renewal and assist with
any issues that may arise with the Coast Guard. Renewals are
handled at Martin International Monday through Friday at your
convenience. Contact our Registrar, Ann, at 985-652-3087 to make an appointment
and we will tell you what is required for your renewal process.
