U.S. Coast Guard licenses and documents are
issued for five-year terms after which time they expire. A one-year
grace period is allowed for renewal purposes only. This means even
though the license or document has technically expired, the individual
may renew the license or document without having to take the full
Coast Guard examination.
Martin International offers a turnkey renewal
service. We will complete the application, take the photographs,
obtain physical exams and drug test, if necessary, fingerprint the
applicant, and then deliver the paperwork package to the Coast Guard.
The individual is not required to go to the Coast Guard (REC) in
New Orleans . . . everything can be handled here at Martin Internationals
office. We then track the status of the renewal, and once renewed,
Martin International will pick up the license or document from the
Coast Guard for forwarding to the individual. Renewals are done
Monday through Friday at the individuals convenience.
